Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 1 cup fresh spinach chopped
  • ½ cup feta cheese crumbled
  • ½ cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine spinach, feta, cream cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness.
  • Cut pastry into 1-inch strips. Spoon spinach-feta filling onto half of each strip.
  • Fold pastry over filling and press edges to seal. Twist strips gently to form spirals.
  • Arrange twists on baking sheet, brush tops with egg wash, and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  • Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For added flavor, mix in fresh herbs like dill or oregano, or sprinkle sesame seeds on top before baking. These pastries can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for serving.
