  • 250 g mascarpone cheese or cream cheese or dairy-free alternative if lactose intolerant
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder plus additional for dusting
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur optional; can be omitted for a kid-friendly version
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

  • Start by creating a clean and organized workspace. Gather all your ingredients and measuring tools.
  • Using a food processor, crush the ladyfingers until they form fine crumbs. If needed, crush them in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour in the cooled espresso and the coffee liqueur. Stir until well combined.
  • Gradually fold in the crushed ladyfinger crumbs to the mascarpone mixture.
  • Using your hands, roll small portions of the mixture into balls about the size of a walnut.
  • Dust the formed balls lightly with cocoa powder.
  • Chill the Tiramisu Balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.
  • Serve the chilled Tiramisu Balls on a serving platter and enjoy!
