Preparation

  • Soak the dried black-eyed peas in water overnight to soften them.
  • After soaking, drain the peas and rinse them thoroughly under cold water.
  • In a large bowl, toss the rinsed black-eyed peas with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the seasoned black-eyed peas in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry the black-eyed peas for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for a crispy texture and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes if needed.
  • Remove from the air fryer and enjoy as a snack or side dish.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Can be reheated in the air fryer to retain crunchiness.
