Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure out the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Transfer your batter to a piping bag or a plastic bag with one corner snipped off.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pipe the batter into the air fryer basket in a circular shape, making overlapping loops.
  • Cook the funnel cake bites for 6-8 minutes or until they are golden brown. Flip halfway through for even cooking.
  • Carefully remove the funnel cake bites from the air fryer. Allow them to cool slightly, then dust generously with powdered sugar.
