Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Prepping beforehand ensures a smoother baking process. It’s essential to have everything measured and ready to go.
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, softened butter, salt, and cinnamon until it forms a crumbly texture.
  • Take half of the crumble mixture and press it firmly into a tart pan, covering the entire bottom and slightly up the sides.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the sliced apples with lemon juice, mixing thoroughly to prevent browning.
  • Add brown sugar to the apple mixture and stir well until the apples are evenly coated.
  • Evenly spread the apple mixture over the prepared tart base.
  • Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture over the apple filling.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the tart for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
  • Allow the tart to cool before serving.
  • Slice the tart and serve it warm or at room temperature, ideally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
