Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients on your countertop and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake pan with liners.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed butter mixture alternately with the milk until combined.
  • Fold in the diced apples and cinnamon gently to ensure even distribution.
  • Scoop the batter into the lined cupcake pan, filling each liner about two-thirds full.

Baking

  • Place the cupcake pan in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frosting

  • In a medium bowl, beat together the powdered sugar, cinnamon-infused cream cheese, and milk until smooth, adjusting consistency as needed.
