Ingredients
  

Slaw

  • 4 cups green cabbage thinly sliced
  • 2 cups red cabbage thinly sliced
  • 1 cup carrots julienned or shredded
  • 3 green onions green onions sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped

Dressing

  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil toasted
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine green cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, green onions, and cilantro.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey or maple syrup, ginger, and garlic.
  • Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat evenly.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately or chill for 10 minutes for extra flavor.

Notes

Add sliced almonds or crushed ramen noodles for extra crunch. This slaw pairs well with grilled meats, tacos, or rice bowls.
