  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, combine BBQ sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat the chicken thighs in the BBQ sauce mixture, ensuring each piece is thoroughly covered.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the coated chicken thighs on the baking sheet, spaced evenly.

Cooking

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the chicken for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove from oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve hot with additional BBQ sauce on the side, paired with your favorite sides.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the BBQ sauce mixture for several hours or overnight. You can finish the chicken under the broiler for a caramelized exterior.
