Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients: chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and olive oil.
  • In a medium bowl, mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning until evenly distributed.
  • Coat each boneless chicken fillet lightly with olive oil to help the breadcrumb mixture adhere.
  • Dip each coated fillet into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring even coverage.
  • Arrange the coated chicken fillets in a baking dish in a single layer with space between each piece.
  • Pour marinara sauce generously over the arranged chicken fillets.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the marinara sauce.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is bubbling and golden.
  • Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve hot, optionally with a side salad or pasta.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage. To reheat, use a baking dish at 350°F (175°C) covered with foil for about 20 minutes.
