Ingredients
  

For the marinade

  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar Ensure it's gluten-free if needed.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Can substitute with garlic-infused oil.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken fillets Can use thighs or other cuts as desired.
  • as needed Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients, wash the chicken fillets, and pat them dry.
  • Mince the garlic and measure out the balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

Marinating

  • In a large bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Coat the chicken fillets in the marinade. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat for about 10 minutes before cooking.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade (discard the leftover marinade) and cook for 6-7 minutes on one side.
  • Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Serving

  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes on a cutting board.
  • Slice the chicken and garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Marinate the chicken longer for deeper flavor. Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking.
