Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Slice the ripe bananas and set them aside. Make sure your coffee has cooled down before dipping the ladyfingers.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth and creamy, with no lumps.
  • Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the brewed coffee, ensuring not to soak them.
  • In a serving dish, arrange half of the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom.
  • Layer half of the banana slices on top of the ladyfingers.
  • Spread half of the cream mixture over the banana layer evenly.
  • Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients.
  • Dust the top with cocoa powder.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours.
  • After chilling, scoop out portions to serve.

Notes

Best enjoyed within the first few days to avoid bananas browning too much. Can be frozen for up to one month.
