Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Rinse the chicken thighs or drumsticks under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper generously over the chicken.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the seasoned chicken pieces.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Place the chicken on the grill and close the lid. Grill for about 10-15 minutes on one side, then flip halfway through cooking.
  • During the last few minutes of grilling, brush your homemade BBQ sauce onto the chicken.
  • Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; ensure it reaches 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes.

Notes
