Pizza Base

  • 1 piece flatbread Can use traditional flatbread, naan, or pita bread.

Toppings

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce For a sweeter flavor, use a sweet-style BBQ sauce.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Feel free to substitute with other cheeses.
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced Adds a nice crunch.
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped Can be omitted if not a fan.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Used to brush on the flatbread.

Preparation

  • Begin by gathering all your ingredients.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the BBQ sauce until well-coated.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Brush one side of the flatbread with olive oil.

Assembly

  • Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the oiled flatbread, leaving space around the edges.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the chicken.
  • Distribute thinly sliced red onion over the cheese.

Cooking

  • Place the assembled flatbread pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Serving

  • Cut the pizza into slices and serve warm, optionally drizzling with extra BBQ sauce.

Notes

For variations, add pineapple for a sweet twist or jalapeños for heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
