Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and have them ready.
  • Remove the chicken breasts from the refrigerator and bring them to room temperature.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken and let it cool slightly before shredding.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the skillet, add barbecue sauce, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.

Serving

  • Spoon the BBQ pulled chicken onto soft buns and serve.
  • Offer extra barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes
