  • 1 lb beef tenderloin Generously seasoned with salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp oil, for grilling To grease the grill
  • to taste fresh herbs, for garnish Parsley or chives work well

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients.
  • Slice the baguette into about 1-inch thick pieces.
  • Season the beef tenderloin generously with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Grilling

  • Place the seasoned beef tenderloin on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until it reaches your preferred doneness.
  • Remove the beef from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Slice the beef tenderloin thinly against the grain.
  • Lightly toast the baguette slices on the grill for about 3 minutes, until golden brown.

Assembly

  • On each toasted baguette slice, place a piece of sliced beef tenderloin.
  • Spoon a generous dollop of béarnaise sauce on top.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

You can customize the toppings or sauces according to personal preferences. Grilled portobello mushrooms can be used instead of beef for a vegetarian option.
