Ingredients
  

For the Sangria

  • 1 bottle bottle of rich red wine (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, or Zinfandel recommended) Choose a good-quality wine for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups spiced apple cider (store-bought or homemade) Can be adjusted for sweetness based on preference.
  • 1 whole orange, sliced Add extra orange slices for garnish if desired.
  • 1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen Rinse cranberries before adding.
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds Can be substituted with other berries.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, adjust to taste) Start with less sugar to avoid overpowering sweetness.
  • 1 stick cinnamon stick (optional, for added flavor) Remove after chilling if preferred.

Preparation

  • Gather and prepare all the ingredients. Slice the orange, rinse the cranberries and pomegranate seeds, and ensure your red wine is ready for mixing.
  • In a large pitcher, pour in the red wine and spiced apple cider. Stir gently to combine, allowing the flavors to blend.
  • Add in the sliced orange, cranberries, and pomegranate seeds into the pitcher.
  • If desired, sprinkle in sugar and add the cinnamon stick, then stir gently to dissolve the sugar.

Chilling

  • Let it chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours, or better yet, overnight for improved flavor blending.

Serving

  • Fill glasses with ice and pour sangria over the ice, garnishing with pieces of fruits and spices.
  • Serve and enjoy this delightful drink with loved ones.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Consider adding a splash of brandy for an elevated experience.
