Boat Dip (Rotel Ranch Dip)
This creamy, zesty dip made with cream cheese, sour cream, Rotel tomatoes, cheddar, and ranch seasoning is the ultimate crowd-pleaser. Perfect for parties, game nights, or any casual gathering.

Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes with green chilies drained
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 2 tbsp cilantro or parsley chopped, optional
- ¼ cup red bell pepper or jalapeño diced, optional
Instructions
- Set out all ingredients and allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature for 20–30 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
- Stir in the drained Rotel tomatoes.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese and ranch seasoning mix, stirring until evenly combined.
- Fold in optional chopped cilantro/parsley and diced bell pepper or jalapeño.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
- Stir before serving and transfer to a serving dish. Enjoy with chips, crackers, or veggies.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream. Add more jalapeños if you want extra heat. Best served chilled.
