Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Must be softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped Cadbury Eggs Chopped into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients together. Ensure butter is softened.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring frequently until it turns a golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma.
  • Transfer the browned butter to a large mixing bowl. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat the eggs and vanilla extract into the butter-sugar mixture until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mix into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped Cadbury eggs into the cookie dough.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop and portion the dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.

Notes

For dietary alternatives, use dairy-free butter and ensure your chocolate is dairy-free for a dairy-free version. For gluten-free options, replace all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. Don't skip chilling the dough as it affects the cookie's texture.
