  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Can substitute with dairy-free options
  • 1 cup M&M's Optional for added texture

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and pre-measure them.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Cooking

  • Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in white chocolate chips and M&M's, if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

For variations, try adding graham cracker crumbs or peanut butter chips. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
