  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Neufchâtel cheese or soft vegan cream cheese can be used.
  • ½ cup Buffalo sauce For milder flavors, use sweet chili sauce or a mix of BBQ sauce and hot sauce.
  • ½ cup ranch dressing You can swap for blue cheese dressing or a dairy-free version.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Divided into 1/2 cup for mixing and 1/2 cup for topping.
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to substitute with any cheese available.
  • to taste Chips, crackers, or toasted bread for serving Ideal for dipping.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and prepare your workspace.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained chicken, softened cream cheese, Buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Mix everything together until well-blended. Ensure there are no chunks of cream cheese.
  • Transfer the mixture to an 8x8-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and the mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Optional: Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to achieve a crispy top.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with your choice of dippers.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container; can be kept in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
