Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean workspace.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cooking

  • In a saucepan, add the honey over medium heat and stir gently until it darkens and thickens, about 5-10 minutes.
  • Once the honey reaches the desired color, remove it from heat and stir in the unsalted butter until melted.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined and slightly frothy.
  • Gradually incorporate the burnt honey mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until fully combined.
  • Fold in the heavy cream gently into the mixture.
  • Pour the combined mixture into the pre-made pie crust.
  • Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes until the center is set but still slightly jiggles.

Cooling
