Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure out the pasta. Ensure the shrimp is cleaned, peeled, and deveined.

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Cooking Shrimp

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil until shimmering. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Add the shrimp and sprinkle Cajun seasoning over them. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Making the Sauce

  • Reduce heat slightly, and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine and allow the sauce to thicken.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust texture with a splash of pasta water if needed.

Combining Everything

  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  • Season to taste with salt, pepper, and more Cajun seasoning if desired.

Serving

  • Serve immediately garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

To store leftovers, cool completely before placing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. When reheating, add a splash of cream or broth to loosen the sauce.
