Ingredients
  

Jello Base Ingredients

  • 1 package red gelatin (strawberry or cherry flavor)
  • 1 package white gelatin (unflavored or coconut flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup peppermint schnapps For a non-alcoholic version, use peppermint soda or syrup.

Topping

  • Crushed candy canes candy canes for topping Add for extra flavor and festive touch.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on a clean countertop. Make sure you have your shot glasses ready and in place to facilitate pouring.
  • In a large bowl, dissolve the red gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring well until fully dissolved.
  • Let the red gelatin mixture cool slightly before adding 1/2 cup of peppermint schnapps. Stir to combine.
  • Pour the red gelatin mixture into shot glasses, filling them halfway. Place them in the refrigerator and allow to set for about 1-2 hours.
  • In another bowl, repeat the process for the white gelatin, dissolving it in 1 cup of boiling water, then adding the remaining 1/2 cup of peppermint schnapps once mixed.
  • Allow the white gelatin mixture to cool slightly before pouring gently on top of the red layer in the shot glasses.
  • Return the shot glasses to the refrigerator and allow them to set for another 1-2 hours until fully firm.
  • Once both layers are set, top each shot with crushed candy canes.
  • Serve the Candy Cane Jello Shots chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week. For best taste, consume within a week.
