  • 1 cup sugar Granulated.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee Cooled.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup cocoa powder Sifted.
  • ¼ cup coffee liqueur Optional.

Crust

  • 1 package graham cracker crust Or homemade crust.

Garnish

  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder For garnish.

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients on your countertop, ensuring the cream cheese is at room temperature.
  • Brew your espresso or strong coffee and allow it to cool.

Mixing Ingredients

  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until completely smooth for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream and sour cream, beating until creamy, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • Incorporate cooled brewed espresso and vanilla extract, mixing on low until well combined.
  • Sift in cocoa powder and mix in coffee liqueur if using, until fully integrated.

Crust Preparation

  • Place the graham cracker crust in a springform pan or prepare your crust from crushed graham crackers mixed with melted butter, pressing firmly.

Assembling Cheesecake

  • Pour the cheesecake filling into the prepared crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Baking or Chilling

  • For the baked version, preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and bake for about 45-50 minutes.
  • For the no-bake version, refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.

Cooling and Serving

  • If baked, let it cool in the oven for about an hour, then chill in the refrigerator.
