Preparation

  • Prep your workspace and ingredients. Wash, peel, and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter and melt it over medium heat.

Cooking the Apples

  • Once the butter is melting, add the chopped apples, stirring to coat them evenly.
  • Sprinkle in the brown sugar and ground cinnamon, mixing well.
  • Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for about 8 to 10 minutes until apples are tender and caramelized.
  • Remove from heat and let the apples cool slightly.

Assembling the Cups

  • Prepare the whipped cream, either using store-bought or whipping heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • In dessert cups, layer the caramelized apples, followed by a dollop of whipped cream.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over the whipped cream.
  • Chill the dessert cups in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
