  • 3 cups Rice Krispies Ensure gluten-free if needed.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Can substitute with regular marshmallows, cut into smaller pieces.
  • 1 cup caramel candies Substitute with soft caramel sauce if necessary.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Use vegan butter or coconut oil for a dairy-free version.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Enhances the sweetness.
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract Adds extra flavor.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: Rice Krispies, mini marshmallows, caramel candies, butter, salt, and vanilla extract.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add in caramel candies, mini marshmallows, and salt. Stir continuously until melted and smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the Rice Krispies and pour the melted mixture over them. Mix until evenly coated.
  • Allow the mixture to cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Grease your hands with butter or cooking spray and roll the mixture into balls.
  • Line a tray with parchment paper and place the balls on it ensuring they’re not touching. Let them set at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Enjoy as is or add toppings like melted chocolate or crushed nuts.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For freezing, layer with parchment paper in a freezer-safe container.
