Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Measure out the rolled oats and milk, peel and slice the ripened bananas, and have brown sugar, vanilla extract, and toppings ready.

Cooking the Oats

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats and milk. Heat over medium-high until it gently boils, then reduce the heat to low.
  • Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and creamy.

Caramelizing the Bananas

  • In a separate skillet, melt a small amount of butter over medium heat. Add sliced bananas and sprinkle brown sugar over them.
  • Cook without stirring for 2-3 minutes until bananas are golden and caramelized.

Combining Ingredients

  • Gently stir the caramelized banana mixture into the cooked oats and mix in the vanilla extract.

Serving

  • Spoon the warm oats into bowls. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and add a swirl of whipped cream.

Notes
