  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • optional: herbs or seasoning of your choice (like parsley or thyme) For added flavor

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather all your ingredients.
  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Add in the eggs, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a loaf about 2 inches tall.

Baking

  • Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Serving

  • Slice the meatloaf carefully and serve warm with your choice of sides.
  • Add optional toppings like ketchup or BBQ sauce before serving.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep refrigerated for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months in an airtight container.
