Toppings

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil, for brushing
  • 8 ounces Fresh mozzarella cheese, torn into pieces Fresh is recommended for best flavor.
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic, roasted Roast until soft for maximum flavor.
  • 1 handful Fresh basil leaves, for topping Add after baking for fresh flavor.
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. If you're making homemade dough, prepare it and let it rise.
  • Preheat your oven to 450°F to 475°F.

Cooking

  • Flour your work surface and roll out the pizza dough to your preferred thickness.
  • Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Brush the surface generously with olive oil.
  • Spread the roasted garlic evenly over the dough.
  • Tear fresh mozzarella into pieces and scatter them over the pizza.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Bake according to the dough's instructions, about 10-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
  • Let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container. To freeze, wrap slices tightly in plastic wrap. Reheat in the oven for best results.
