Ingredients
  

For the Breadsticks

  • 1 package refrigerated breadstick dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to experiment with cheese blends.
  • 1 large egg, beaten For egg wash.
  • ½ cup marinara sauce This can be replaced with pesto or garlic butter if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste spray cooking spray For greasing baking sheet.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients.
  • Open the package of refrigerated breadstick dough and roll it out gently on a clean work surface.
  • Cut the dough into fun bone shapes using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and arrange the shaped dough bones on the baking sheet.
  • Brush the shaped dough with the beaten egg for a golden color.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top of each bone shape.
  • In a small bowl, mix the marinara sauce with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

Baking

  • Bake the prepared breadsticks in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Serving

  • Serve warm with the spooky marinara dip on the side.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
