Ingredients
  

Chicken Marinade

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips Ensure it is cut into strips for even cooking.
  • 1 cup buttermilk Can substitute with plant-based milk for dairy-free.

Coating Mix

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Gluten-free flour can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Assembly

  • 10 pieces mini waffles (store-bought or homemade) Toast according to package instructions if using store-bought.
  • to drizzle Maple syrup
  • optional sliced pickles, coleslaw, or cheese for toppings Customize to your taste.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and cut the chicken breast into strips. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.

Coating

  • Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Drain on paper towels.

Assembling

  • Toast mini waffles if using store-bought. Assemble by placing fried chicken on each waffle.
  • Add toppings and drizzle with maple syrup.

Serving

  • Arrange sliders on a platter and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure to marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes and avoid overcrowding the frying pan for even cooking.
