Ingredients
  

For the sandwich

  • 4 slices slices of bread (your choice: whole grain, sourdough, or white)
  • 2 pieces cooked chicken breasts, shredded
  • 1 piece avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter

For seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by clearing your kitchen counter and taking out all your ingredients. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grab a baking sheet.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until evenly coated.
  • Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.

Assembly and Baking

  • Place two slices of bread on the baking sheet, butter side down.
  • Divide the seasoned chicken mixture evenly over the bread slices.
  • Arrange the sliced avocado on top of the chicken.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously on top of the avocado.
  • Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, butter side up.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

Serving

  • Let the sandwiches cool for a minute. Cut them in half for easier eating and serve warm.

Notes

Customize with extra veggies or spices as desired. Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
