  • 200 g linguine
  • 200 g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-2 pieces red chillies, chopped Adjust based on heat preference
  • 400 g canned tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh basil

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: linguine, prawns, garlic, chillies, canned tomatoes, and olive oil.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the linguine, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  • Add minced garlic and chopped chillies, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Introduce the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in canned tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, then simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Toss the cooked linguine into the pan with the sauce, stirring until well coated.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.

Serving

  • Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh basil before serving hot.

Notes

For a customizable dish, consider adding seasonal vegetables or adjusting the heat level with different types of chillies. Use firm tofu or chicken as a protein alternative.
