Main Ingredients

  • ΒΌ cup chia seeds High in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.
  • 2 cups almond milk (or any plant-based milk) Can substitute with soy, oat, or coconut milk.
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder Use high-quality cocoa powder for better flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey for non-vegans) Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances the sweetness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: chia seeds, almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chia seeds, almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  • Use a whisk to stir the mixture thoroughly until no clumps remain.
  • Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes to let the chia seeds absorb the liquid.
  • Whisk the pudding again after 10 minutes to prevent clumping.
  • Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a lid and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  • After refrigeration, check the pudding's texture. If too thick, stir in a little more almond milk.
  • Serve the chilled pudding in individual bowls or glasses.
  • Optionally, garnish with fresh berries, sliced bananas, or a sprinkle of nuts.
  • Enjoy the rich, chocolatey goodness of your homemade Chocolate Chia Pudding.
