Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients for seamless preparation.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat. Mix in the Rice Krispies cereal and cherry pie filling until well-coated.
  • Press the mixture firmly into a greased 9x9 inch pan, ensuring it's even and compact.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Heat in short intervals, stirring until smooth and melted.
  • Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the pressed Rice Krispies mixture using a spatula.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to set the chocolate.
  • Remove from the refrigerator and cut into squares. Serve immediately or store for later enjoyment.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. If freezing, wrap tightly and thaw at room temperature when ready to enjoy. Consider sprinkling with colorful sprinkles or drizzling with chocolate for extra flair.
