Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened Make sure it is at room temperature.
  • 2 large eggs Can substitute with flax eggs for vegan option.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can use dark chocolate or any preferred variety.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure them accurately. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your baking pan.

Mixing the Base

  • In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Slowly incorporate the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract.

Combining Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. A toothpick inserted should come out clean or with a few crumbs.

Cooling

  • Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze.
