Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries Rinsed and drained.
  • 1 cup sugar Can be adjusted based on sweetness preference.
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch Used for thickening the filling.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Optional spice for added flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon butter Dotted on top of filling before baking.

For the Crust

  • 1 pie crust pie crust Use pre-made or homemade.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Rinse and drain the fresh blueberries.

Mix the Filling

  • In a large bowl, combine blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Gently toss until well coated.

Pour and Prepare

  • Place the pie crust into a pie pan and pour the blueberry mixture into the crust evenly.
  • Dot the top of the blueberry filling with small slices of butter.

Bake

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the pie for about 45 minutes or until the filling is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

Cool and Serve

  • Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool to help the filling set. Slice into wedges and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

This pie can be customized with seasonal spices or mixed berries. Best served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
