Ingredients
  

For the Caramel Base

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter Can substitute with coconut oil for dairy-free option.
  • ½ cup heavy cream Can substitute with coconut cream for dairy-free option.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Dipping and Decoration

  • Chocolate for dipping (dark, milk, or white—your choice!)
  • Sprinkles for decoration (choose your favorite holiday colors)

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: sugar, butter, heavy cream, salt, vanilla, chocolate, and sprinkles.

Cooking the Caramel

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar and butter.
  • Stir continuously until the sugar melts and turns golden brown.
  • Slowly add heavy cream and salt, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, then let cool slightly.

Setting the Caramel

  • Prepare a greased pan and pour the caramel mixture into it.
  • Allow it to cool completely at room temperature.

Finishing Touches

  • Cut the set caramel into small squares.
  • Melt your choice of chocolate and dip each caramel square into it, letting excess drip off.
  • While the chocolate is wet, add sprinkles on top.
  • Let chocolate set completely before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or in the fridge for up to two weeks. Wrap in wax paper for best quality.
