  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.5 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and bring them to room temperature.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour your bundt pan.

Mixing Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract, and blend until smooth.
  • Slowly stir in the boiling water until the batter is well mixed.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Check with a toothpick; it should come out clean when done.

Cooling and Serving

  • Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  • Gently turn it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Optionally make a chocolate ganache or glaze to serve on top.

Notes

Store the cake in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature, or refrigerate for a week. For longer storage, freeze it for up to three months.
