  • 50 g unsalted butter Adds richness and gloss to the ganache.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances the sweetness and heightens chocolate flavor.

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and tools needed for the tart.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Baking the Tart Shell

  • Place the pre-made tart shell in the oven and bake for 10 minutes to crisp it up.

Making the Ganache

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the heavy cream to a gentle simmer.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and add chopped dark chocolate. Stir gently until fully melted.
  • Add unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Stir until smooth and glossy.

Assembling the Tart

  • Carefully pour the ganache into the baked tart shell and spread it evenly.
  • Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours or until the ganache is firm enough to slice.

Serving

  • Once set, slice the tart and serve plain or with toppings like whipped cream or fresh berries.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap. Can be frozen for up to three months. Experiment with flavored extracts and various toppings for a unique twist.
