  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll out your pie crust and place it into a pie dish. Pinch the edges for a decorative touch.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the three eggs until fully beaten.
  • Add corn syrup, melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract to the eggs, mixing until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips into the wet mixture.

Baking

  • Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, until set but still slightly jiggly in the middle.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on a rack to enhance the flavors.

Serving

  • Slice the cooled pie into wedges and serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
  • Store any leftovers in the refrigerator covered loosely with plastic wrap.

Notes

For best results, do not skip the preheating step. Allow the pie to cool before slicing for a better texture.
