Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and measure them out for a smooth preparation.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well-blended.
  • Spread the coconut mixture evenly into a greased baking dish and press down lightly.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.

Topping

  • While baking, melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler.
  • Once the coconut base is baked and cooled, pour melted chocolate over it and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top and press gently into the chocolate.
