Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Measure out the flour, sugar, butter, eggs, milk, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your cupcake pan with colorful cupcake liners.

Mixing

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.

Baking
