Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Roll dough into balls about an inch in diameter and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until slightly set but still soft.
  • Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from the oven.
  • Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature. Freeze for up to three months.
