Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients to ensure a smooth baking process.
  • In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt.
  • Add the chilled, diced butter and mix until resembling coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually add ice water, stirring until the dough starts to come together.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Dust the work surface with flour and roll out the dough to fit your tart pan.
  • Mix sliced plums with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  • Pour the plum filling into the tart crust and spread evenly.
