Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • In a skillet, add a little oil over medium heat. Sauté the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Mixing Filling

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the prepared shrimp until evenly coated.

Assembling and Baking

  • If using phyllo pastry, unroll and cover with a damp cloth. If using puff pastry, roll out to desired thickness and cut into 3-inch squares.
  • Place a spoonful of the shrimp and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  • Fold over the corners and pinch edges to seal tightly.
  • Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

These appetizers can be frozen unbaked for up to a month and then baked when ready to serve. Use gluten-free pastry for dietary needs.
