Pizza Base

  • 1 piece pizza dough Use gluten-free pizza dough if needed.

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened) Neufchâtel cheese offers a lighter option.
  • ½ cup powdered sugar Replace with a sugar alternative for healthier choice.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract

Toppings

  • 1 cup cherry pie filling Substitute with other fruit fillings for variation.
  • ½ cup whipped cream (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a circular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Gently place the rolled dough onto a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Slide the pan into the preheated oven and bake the crust for about 10 minutes until golden-brown.
  • In a mixing bowl, blend together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the baked crust.
  • Drizzle cherry pie filling generously over the cream cheese layer.
  • Pop the pizza into the refrigerator and chill for at least an hour.
  • Just before serving, add a dollop of whipped cream on top.
  • Slice the dessert pizza into wedges and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days. Can be frozen for about a month.
