Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Unroll the cinnamon rolls and set them aside.
  • Carefully flatten each cinnamon roll using your hands or a rolling pin.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Take each flattened cinnamon roll and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s well-coated but not soaked.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar generously on the top side of the dipped roll.
  • Carefully roll it up tightly from one end to the other and place seam-side down on a plate.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat, add butter and let it melt completely.
  • Place the roll ups in the skillet and fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Once cooked, remove them from the skillet and place on a paper towel to absorb excess butter.
  • Serve warm, topped with icing or syrup.
