Ingredients
  

Blondie Batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and well blended.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For added texture, mix in 1 cup of chopped nuts or chocolate chips before baking. These blondies also pair perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
