Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon for batter
  • ¼ cup sugar for batter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup sugar for topping
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 cup sugar.
  • In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  • Divide the batter into muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  • Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon for topping. Sprinkle evenly over muffins.
  • Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use plant-based milk and butter. Try adding nutmeg or cranberries for a seasonal twist.
